Post 12 Legion Baseball Team
Chris Moore has been serving as Post 12 Buggy Town team manager.
Season in review: According to Chris Moore, the overall record was 3-13. Quoting the Buggy Town team manager: "We lost every game until Wednesday. Pretty rough as a new young team...We beat Anson 5-3." Postseason started Monday against Post 49, Hamlet, best of three games. If we play to the level we are capable of, we have a chance. More importantly this season was incredibly beneficial for the team. They faced tremendous competition and watching the grow from scared at the beginning to aggressive at the end was fun to see. I have very high hopes going forward next season. As for my primary goal of building a team rooted in the community, we could not have done better. I cannot count how many parents, fans and coaches who came up to me to thank us for bringing Legion ball back to Moore County. In fact, I have 5 coaches interested in on field coaching next year. I say all this to say this was a tremendous success. We will field a more competitive team next year and represent Post 12 to the best we can.
